prostate massage and/or regular ejaculation decrease the risk of prostate infection and cancer
You don’t say why your PSA is elevated. The PSA is not specific for cancer, which is why it is not very good as a screening test. It can be elevated in benign enlargement of the prostate, prostate infection, or prostate cancer. It may also be normal in the setting of actual prostate cancer.
Prostate massage will likely have no permanent effect on the PSA number no matter what the cause, though it will spike temporarily for a few days after stimulation before settling down to its usual level.
The fallacy is treating ” a number” and not the underlying cause.

Most likely not in most cases, but if you know that your psa is up you must have had it checked, by orders of a Dr. he can prescribe medication that sometimes does help, and there some herbs that may help. If this is a concern to you get back to the Dr, he can have a specimen taken that may help him decide what you may really need.

Hi Fred. You received some inaccurate information in the other answers. Here is the correct answer based on the scientific research noted below.
“After prostatic massage, the tPSA (total PSA) and fPSA (free PSA) levels and the fPSA/tPSA ratio increased significantly.”
