The Prostate Cancer Men’s Club
The Men’s Club is the only full-length non-fiction motion picture dealing with prostate cancer, its’ treatments and side effects. All treatments are investigated and discussed by 32 doctors, and men and women who are living with the most common cancer in men. Highlighting the treatments are live action video and/or animation of each treatment. Segments include women speaking on how their lives have changed, an African-American doctor speaking on high risk patients, celebrities and the treatments they have chosen, support groups and their benefits, what to watch out for with your HMO PPO, Prostate Cancer as a disability in the work place and an 800 number for a non-profit radio show where the viewer can call and get questions answered. This film is not a bunch of talking heads or hired actors trying to sell a treatment. It is an independent look at the world of the number two killer of men and the journey these men embark on with their families once diagnosed.
